‘You know you’re home.’

This collection started off with my hometowns’ own landmark - Scrabo Tower. I was completely oblivious as to how many people felt the same way about it. I had the most vivid childhood memories of this moment and wanted create it in an illustration, whether we’d been on a family holiday or even just coming back from Belfast on the bus with my Grandparents, it didn’t matter where or how far I’d got to because coming across the Dundonald carriageway and seeing that big old tower on the hill - I knew I was home again.

Documenting the feeling on social media for the first time when I shared the work, I was inundated with feedback. It turns out most places have this little wholesome feeling in someway or another so I got to work.

I have a feeling this series will continue forever…

It’s been amazing seeing this collection travel, we’ve posted them to Canada, America, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait.. to name a few.

It’s incredible knowing that no matter how far in the world you go - home is always home.

“My wife bought me one of the Donaghadee lighthouse prints to cheer me up , no matter where I’ve wandered and roamed over the years that lighthouse always makes me feel like I am home and safe!

Thank you I love it”
